Therapy Specialists is a division of TOSPT and is conveniently located adjacent to the gymnasium in the Capital Medical Blvd. clinic. This facility occupies a 500 sq. ft. room that is especially designed for the quiet, intimate atmosphere necessary for excellent hand therapy. It is equipped with fluidotherapy, paraffin baths, upper body exerciser, weight well, pulley exerciser, theraballs, hand manipulation equipment, ultrasound/iontophoresis, electrical stimulation, wound care equipment and apparatus for designing and constructing customized splints. This clinic is also stocked with a variety of upper extremity prefabricated splints and samples of adaptive equipment.
Therapy Specialists Clinic Director Dori Catalano, OTR/L, CHT is well known in Tallahassee and across Florida for her expertise as a Certified Hand Therapist. Therapy Specialists is the only outpatient facility in the Big Bend area that specializes in upper extremity rehabilitation. The staff is composed of two Certified Hand Therapists /Occupational Therapists, one Physical Therapist and a Licensed Massage Therapist. Quality care with a personal touch is a priority at Therapy Specialists.

Last year, Dr. Berg of TOC operated on both of my hands for a pretty severe case of Dupuytren's Contracture.
Part of the recovery involved therapy at TOSPT. Dori Catalano was the therapist assigned to my case. Dori and her staff did a great job getting me started on the road to recovery.
The therapy involved several visits for each hand. They gave me detailed instructions for in-house and at home programs. Each visit involved measurements to track progress and answer any questions I might have.
I was impressed how everybody was so professional and efficient; from the front desk, billing department and of course, the therapists.
