Centrally located on the campus of Florida State University, Tallahassee Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy is housed in the Thagard Student Health Center. www.tshc.fsu.edu With a gated parking lot conveniently located adjacent to the building, this clinic offers services exclusively to students, faculty, staff and their dependents four days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). On Wednesday, the clinic offers services at the award-winning, state-of-the-art Bobby E. Leach Campus Recreation Center www.fsu.campusrec.com/leach to make the seamless transition to wellness.
As a campus based practice, part of the mission of TOSPT at Thagard is to provide education to the personal trainer staff at Leach Student Recreation Center. The Thagard clinic is staffed with two physical therapists and an athletic trainer with special emphasis on orthopedic, sports and performance rehabilitation.
The staff is proud to provide education and consultation services to the Department of Dance at F.S.U. Their focus is in injury prevention and education for a safe and healthy completion of the performance major. TOSPT at Thagard continues to meet the needs of the community by offering a program designed to prevent anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in athletes. (See Sportsmetrics)
