Michelle Jones, PTA
Michelle Jones, PTA, received her Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Darton College in 2010. She has held a Physical Therapy Assistant license in Texas, Florida, and Georgia. Her interest in physical therapy stems from personal experience, as her ACL has been rebuilt twice, and she saw the extensive and necessary effects of proper physical therapy first hand. Michelle has worked in multiple settings such as skilled nursing, outpatient, and acute. With her various experience, she enjoys gait analysis and joint replacement She also appreciates seeing patients progress and reach their optimal performance level.
She began practicing as a licensed therapist in Beaumont, Texas, when the United States Coast Guard relocated her family to Jacksonville, FL in 2012, she obtained a Florida license and began practicing at a local care center and assisted living facility. After several years in Jacksonville the USCG once again required her family to move and she changed focus from geriatric care to sports and outpatient therapy at the Madison branch of Tallahassee Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Currently, her husband, Chris, is serving in the United States Coast Guard and they have a young daughter.
