Julian Bailey, Jr., PT, DPT
Julian Bailey, Jr. has been focused on the physics of motion and team leadership since he was a three -sport athlete in the fifth grade. He has taken this transferable skill of what he experienced on the field to receiving two degrees at a leading university on an athletic scholarship, and has now elevated it to a new level in becoming a physical therapist at the Tallahassee Orthopedic & Sports (TOSPT) clinic in Tallahassee.
His landing at TOSPT was not by accident as he researched various venues, always looking for characteristics that surpassed his expectations. His criteria included professionalism, understanding, dialogue, partnering with patients, humor, pain management, education and a wellness program.
"In my interviews, TOSPT met all of the criteria, including what I was most interested in, and that was close team work among my peers and support group," said Bailey.
A 30-year-old native of Jacksonville, Florida, he is a graduate of Florida A&M University (FAMU) with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2015, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science in 2010 from the same school. While with the FAMU baseball team, he was awarded Sportsmanship and Most Improved Player ion 2008.
Currently, Julian volunteers his time working at the FAMU Developmental Research School providing athletic training under the supervision of a Physical Therapist/ Athletic Trainer, Certified. Previously he worked with elementary to junior high school students training and coaching gymnastics at North Florida Gymnastics and cheerleading in Jacksonville.
