Dori Catalano, O.T./L., C.H.T.
Dori is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds a B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy. She has lived in Tallahassee since 1975. She started her career in outpatient therapy and went on to establish the first Occupational Therapy department at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Having developed a passion for hand therapy, she established a private practice in 1985 specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. She sat for the first national hand certification exam and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. She has represented the Florida Occupational Therapy Association as the workers' compensation liaison and was a consultant to the Florida Division of Worker's Compensation.
In August of 2002, Dori joined the TOSPT team to develop and directs the hand therapy division, Therapy Specialists. She is currently an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists and the Florida Hand Society. She has attended numerous seminars in the specialty of hand therapy including arthritis, wound care and manual therapy. Her special interest is custom splinting. She resides in Tallahassee with her husband and two sons.
