The newest satellite of TOSPT was established in Eastpoint, ( Franklin County) Florida in March, 2005. It was specially constructed with direct access to the gymnasium at Eastpoint Fitness Center and is decorated in a coastal motif. This clinic with front door parking is 900+ sq. ft. with a reception area, an open room for treatment plus 2 private treatment rooms. Within this area are 2 large exercise and treatment mats for attended modalities, manual procedures and exercise instruction. It is also equipped with a paraffin bath, ultra sound and electrical stimulation machine as well as apparatus for hot and cold packs, various hand and cuff weights, wrist strengthening equipment and a balance board. The clinical director, Sheila Stephens, has had extensive experience in hand therapy and is equipped to work with rehabilitation of the upper extremity. The adjoining door to the Eastpoint Fitness Center gymnasium offers the therapist access for the patient to a variety of Cybex and aerobic equipment including 4 treadmills, 2 elliptical crosstrainers, a stair stepper and recumbent, stationary bicycle. There are also various sizes of free weights and Swiss balls for the patient’s use. Eastpoint Fitness offers yoga, aerobic and fitness classes in the large adjacent studio. |
