Originally from Ohio, Chris relocated to South Florida to pursue her career in professional dance. During this time, after witnessing several colleagues suffer dance related injuries, she became interested in physical therapy. She went on to complete her Associates of Arts degree, then transferred to Tallahassee. Here she achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy at Florida A&M University in 1999. Chris continues to advance her education. Recently she became a Certifeid Kinesio Taping Practitioner and has attended several courses such as Cincinnati Sports Medicine for the Shoulder and Knee, Evidence in Motion for Disorders of the Lower Extremities, When the Foot Hits…Everything Changes, Biomechanics of the Ankle and Foot, and McKenzie Part A. Overall, Chris enjoys treating and focusing on disorders of the lower extremities. She enjoys fishing, cooking, weight training and spending time with her dogs. She and her dog Kody are certified through the Delta Society and volunteer throughTallahassee Memorial Healthcare's Animal Therapy Program.
